From his early years as a musician and song writer back in his home town of Gloucester, Mass., to the years he spent on tour (see above link) with many bands in the 1960's and 70's, the road to becoming an author seemed inevitable. As a child growing up in Gloucester, it seemed he was destined for a career in the arts.
Early on, it appeared that Barry had inherited an artistic gene from his father. His father was the esteemed impressionist painter Leon Stacks, who at 16 was the youngest artist ever invited to join the Rockport Art Association on Cape Ann. (One of his honored paintings is shown on the right.)
Barry currently has a 7 year contract with Publish America. His first book, All in Vein: The Rise of the Clan of the Lion, is part one of a five-part series. The novel follows a vampire clan over 3200 years of history. The 2nd book in the series, The Rise of Mikaela: All in Vein II was released on 12/21/2010, and the 3rd book in the series, Taking the Lord's Name in Vein: All in Vein III, was released in March 2011. Another book, The House on Marchant Street, was released on October 21, 2010. Barry is currently working on two more books, while the much anticipated 124 Main Street: When We Was is scheduled for release in February 2012.
